Finally getting around to starting my drinking horn project... Hopefully. I still know next to nothing about carving bone/antler/horn, but you can't really learn without practicing I suppose. I'm going to start by working my old blowing horn and if that's not a complete failure I plan on moving on to the drinking horns. Under the cut are a few horns I'm thinking about getting. This post is mostly for my own benefit and I'll probably delete it in a day or two...
Which do you guys like best? These are the cheapest horns I've been able to find... anybody know of a cheaper source?

They vary in size a little bit, but pretty much all are larger than 12". Unsure of width, unfortunately. I like the darker horns but they wouldn't really work well with scrimshaw.

Possible start of a new moodtheme for myself. I'm not entirely satisfied with it yet... Critique welcomed.

Just a doodle, which was later taped to his door. The wings are godawful and wouldn't properly fit on the page, but oh well. I can't say bat wings would be my first choice for a flying bear :P

No crits, please. I was never able to finish it and now the clay is sitting in a trash bag waiting to be used for my next assignment, a 1/2 size female (full-body) model.

I haven't drawn anything in months. I should get on that...
